About NRAC

The only nonprofit
in this field.

National Recall Alert Center has been protecting patients since 1973. We run two services: the E-CLASS Tracker, which matches, routes, escalates, resolves and verifies every recall against your inventory, and NRAC Safety Intelligence, which carries the adverse reaction record, shortage status, and interaction cautions for every medication you dispense. We do not sell anything else.

Why a nonprofit runs this

Federally approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit · Established 1973

Why a nonprofit runs this

A forty-bed nursing home carries the same duty as a teaching hospital.

It just has nobody to hand it to. A teaching hospital has a drug-information desk and a materials team; most facilities have neither and the same patients to answer for. That gap is why NRAC is a nonprofit and not a vendor.

STRUCTURE

Federally approved 501(c)(3)

We answer to a charitable mission rather than to shareholders. There is no second product line whose margins we have to protect.

FUNDING

Grants offset the cost

Grant money covers part of what it costs to run this. That is how a twelve-bed facility affords the same coverage a hospital system gets.

FOCUS

NRAC sells nothing else

Recall management and medication safety are the whole operation. Nothing else competes for the staff or the budget.

The record

Fifty-two years. Not one missed recall.

This is the number we get judged on, so it is the one we lead with.

U.S. hospitals trust NRAC

And if we get it wrong, you are still covered. NRAC backs every member with a multi-million-dollar errors & omissions policy. In 52 years, no member facility we protect has ever missed a recall, or faced litigation over a recalled product.

Two services, one mission

What each service covers.

Each service runs on its own system with its own sign-in and its own billing. You can hold either one on its own.

E-CLASS Tracker

Recall management. Matches every recall against your inventory, routes it to the department that holds the product, escalates until someone answers, and documents the close.

NRAC Safety Intelligence

Medication safety. One page per drug, carrying the adverse reaction record, shortage status, and interaction cautions, plus a watchlist that alerts on changes.
